Hey guys! My names Rob and I have now taken over this awesome site
New updates coming up
Hello everyone! I’ll be leaving for my vacation tomorrow, which means I won’t be able to update the website for about two weeks since I won’t have any internet where I’m going.
Unfortunately, I still haven’t found a co-web to help me run the website so while I’m away, if you’re interested in helping out, you can still apply to become one! All you have to do is mail me and explain why you want the job and what’s your experience!
I will reply to all emails as soon as possible, so feel free to contact me for whatever reason.
Have fun and stay safe!

Gabe, Ryland, and Alex occupied the Buzzworthy couch today (no, that’s not Nate running away in the background — he and Victoria couldn’t make it) to answer your Cobra Starship fan questions. Video of the whole surreal experience will be coming soon, but here’s a little teaser to get you in the appropriate mental zone.
+ First, Thai food was ordered.
+ Then, it was noted that several people in the room were wearing boat shoes, so we had to talk about that as well as the deleterious effects of the rain on Jewfros (myself and Gabe + NYC monsoon = unhappy Jews.)
+ Next, Ashley Tisdale was… “discussed.”
+ Guy Ripley mentions were made.
+ Gabe Saporta personally applauded Joe Jonas’ “Single Ladies” dance.
+ The color purple (the actual color, not the 1982 book by Alice Walker or the 1985 movie starring Whoopie Goldberg) and the term “epic fail” were both deemed DONE. (Sorry, everyone who still uses it. And I probably still will because I’m lazy.)
+ Also discussed: camping, underwear, going peepee in your pants.
Okay. Stay tuned for the video! It’s currently in “post.” Until then, watch the sneak peek of the “Good Girls Go Bad” video, featuring Leighton Meester. Again.

I apologise for the lack of updates as of recently. I’ve been pretty busy with school but I have a lot of pictures and stuff to update the site with, so be on the look out in the next few days
I’m also looking for someone to help me run the site: you need to know how to use Wordpress & Coppermine and you have to know a little bit of HTML. If you’re interested please email me at cobrastarship@live.it!
Thanks for visiting!
The Cobra Starship Source Staff
Everything you’ve heard about Gabe Saporta is probably true. The Cobra Starship frontman parties to the max, doesn’t give a shit about a lot of things, survives on very little sleep—if any at all—and is really just out to have a damn good time. Speaking on the phone from Mesa, Arizona, at the start of their massive spring tour with Fall Out Boy, Saporta was excited, open and down to earth. And in just 30 minutes, the self-confessed “dirt bag with a heart” went a long way in proving that he does in fact embody a lot of what the band’s infectious power punk is all about: Freedom, anarchy, and living the life of massive party animals. With at least two months of hardcore touring scheduled ahead of the band—including huge Bamboozle pit stops along the way—Saporta knows he won’t be getting much shut-eye. And he’s not fazed in the slightest.
“If I worried about sleeping and taking care of myself, then it would just take the fun out of touring. The whole point of our band is to not take ourselves seriously and to remind people to stop being such pussies about shit. We just want to have a good time. We just take the piss out of ourselves and we don’t get offended by anything,” he says. “We’re not trying to make big social commentary about the scene. We have this little club with our own inside jokes, and we invite everyone to watch it and be a part of it if they want. And if they don’t want to, they can go fuck themselves (laughs). And that’s kind of our vibe.” Read the rest of this entry »
Band hands off ‘I Make Good Girls Go Bad’ to ‘Gossip Girl’ star.
Earlier this week, we reported that Cobra Starship are working with “American Idol” judge Kara DioGuardi on their new album. Well, now it turns out that they’re working with another prime-time star: Leighton Meester from “Gossip Girl.”
On Thursday, Cobra frontman Gabe Saporta, DioGuardi and Meester — who debuted a song called “Birthday” last week — spent time in a Los Angeles studio working on a remix of a song called “I Make Good Girls Go Bad,” which Saporta and DioGuardi had originally written for CS’s new album.
It’s not as much of a stretch as you’d imagine. Saporta is an avowed “Gossip Girl” nut (he even mentioned the show back in December, when we asked him to name his favorites of 2008), and when he heard Meester was working on an album, he thought “Girls” would be perfect for her. So, thanks to the power of positive dreaming — and some phone calls — he found himself winging to L.A. to work with her. We e-mailed him for comment on the collaboration, and this is what he had to say: Read the rest of this entry »
